The basis for the quality of our wines is the vineyard. Fully ripened, healthy grapes are indispensable for unfolding the taste and aroma in the wines. By strictly limiting the yield, selectively harvesting the healthy ripe grapes we are able to maintain terroir and the typical character and aroma of the individual grape varieties right up to bottling.
Hand harvesting, cool fermentation and a long maturing period on the fine yeast results in wines of fine complex fruit and a delicate acidity. The wines show a youthful freshness and vivacity with the ability to age. The passion and ability of the winemaker reflects in each of the wines from Weingut am Stein..

The wines show a youthful freshness and vivacity. You should be able to taste the passion of the winemaker in the wines from the Weingut am Stein and this is especially easy with the dry late harvest (‘Spätlese’) from the classic Silvaner and Riesling grapes. The winery’s best wines of the Pinot variety such as Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) and Weißburgunder (Pinot blanc), are ripened in Barrique barrels and each year presented as „Montonia“.
The wine collection is augmented by our own distilled products and two sparkling wines from Silvaner and Pinot gris grapes.
